Keana Mirmajlesi, Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, Varna, AY 2018-2019

Keana Mirmajlesi had her undergraduate biomedical engineering research published this past year in an article titled “Free radical-mediated targeting and immobilization of coupled payloads” in the Journal of Drug Targeting. Keana was a member of the Shreiber Lab as an undergraduate researcher from May 2015-June 2018. The article proposes novel methods of targeting therapies by using native free radicals as a homing signal, providing promising proof-of-concept for using free radicals to specifically target and sustain nearly endless payloads to disease sites.
