Verbal Section (48 classes) checks the comprehension of meaning within a limited context (correction of sentences), the use of lexical items by establishing the relationships between isolated words as well as the extent of comprehension of a wider context tested by questions related to the structure and the meaning of longer texts. The course focusses on the identification of patterns of high frequency in order to avoid the wrong answers in the test components. In the longer texts the identification of the relevant information is practiced. Two classes are dedicated to the analysis of an argument and analysis of an issue essay included in the format of the test since 2002.
The math section (20 classes) expects basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics and obtaining information from graphs. The important point is to acquire the skill of arriving at the relevant information as quickly as possible. The course familiarizes the students with the necessary terminology, the way of structuring the task and the most frequently occurring questions. Whenever necessary new methods and strategies are introduced to facilitate the process of arriving at the right solutions.
