Larry A. DiMatteo took part in a unique collaboration between academic scholars, legal practitioners, and arbitrators, helping edit two handbooks: one focusing on the intersection of arbitration \u2013 as an alternative to litigation \u2013 and the court systems to which arbitration is ultimately beholden (The Cambridge Handbook of Judicial Control of Arbitral Awards<\/em>), and the other\u00a0 \u2013 \u00a0analyzing the ongoing evolution of smart contracts, based upon blockchain technology, from the perspective of existing legal frameworks \u2013 namely, contract law (The Cambridge Handbook of Smart Contracts, Blockchain Technology and Digital Platforms<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Larry A. DiMatteo is the Huber Professor at the Warrington College of Business and the Levin College of Law at the University Florida. He received a J.D. Cornell Law School; LL.M. Harvard Law School; and Ph.D. Monash University. He is a past winner of the University of Florida\u2019s Teacher-Scholar of the Year; former Editor-in-Chief of the\u00a0<\/span>American Business Law Journal<\/em>; 2012 Fulbright Scholar at Sofia University, Bulgaria; and author or co-author of 150 publications including 14 books. His books include,\u00a0<\/span>International Sales Law:\u00a0 Principles, Contracts and Practice<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>(2nd ed. Beck, Hart, & Nomos 2021) (Janssen, Schulze & Magnus);\u00a0<\/span>Judicial Control over Arbitral Awards<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>(ed. Cambridge University Press 2020);\u00a0<\/span>Cambridge Handbook of<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>Smart Contracts, Blockchain Technology and Digital Platforms\u00a0<\/span><\/em>(ed. Cambridge University Press 2020);\u00a0<\/span>Chinese Contract Law:\u00a0 Civil and Common Law Perspectives<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>(ed.
