Professor Sasho Penov, PhD, holds a MA degree in law from the University of Sofia \u201cSt.Climent Ohridsky\u201d(1986). Since 1987 he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Sofia University. He teaches Financial Law, Tax Law, and International Tax Law.
He obtained his doctoral degree in 1996.
He held a specialization at the University of Hamburg on a Weizs\u00e4cker scholarship and received his MA degree in law at the same university (1991-1992). He also held specializations at the International Center for Personnel Training OECD \u2013 Wien, Austria (1993), the University of Athens, Greece (1995), the University of Saarbrucken, Germany (2001, 1004), in the USA (2002).
He was Head of Department of Administrative Law at Sofia University (2010 \u2013 2018), Dean of the Faculty of Law (2011-2018).
He worked as an expert at the National Revenue Agency (1989-1990).
He was Head of the Department of Tax Agreements (1992-1994).
He was a member of the Consultation Council on Legislation at the Bulgarian Parliament (2001-2009).
Member of the Legal Council at the Presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria (2002- 2011)
Chairman of the Commission for Insolvent State Revenue (2002-2011).
Lawyer at Sofia Bar Association since 1994.
He was appointed Minister of Education and Science in August 2022.<\/p>\n
