Over the past year, Edward Morgan directed several productions including his play, So You Can Look Ahead at Lamar University in Texas, Three Viewpoints at Next in Milwaukee and Up Close (But Not Too Close!) with John McGivern, an Emmy award winning comedian and storyteller at Northern Lights Theatre in the Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee. He has also been awarded another Fulbright for 2022-2023, using theatre and creative writing to teach upper level English and to help train English teachers in Kyrgyzstan.

He has recently published three articles about Kyrgyzstan and his time there.
The first is a general overview, the second is about the country’s relationship with Russia and the impact of the Ukraine War and the third is a selection of some of my posts. Lots of photos with the articles, too, some of which I took. Here are the links:

Also, Edward is currently in rehearsal in Santiago, Dominican Republic for an upcoming production of his play El Panfleto (The Pamphlet), which, he first directed at New Bulgarian University (Sofia) in May, 2019. He directed the premiere in Spanish in Santiago in 2020 but Covid shut it down after two performances. Now the play has been chosen as one of the plays to represent Santiago in the upcoming XI Internacional Festival de Teatro (FITE) in October 2023. The play is set in the DR in 1960 but explores how people respond to tyranny, so it’s certainly resonant in the world today.
