Doriana Basamakova

Chief of Staff, Trust for Social Achievement

Doriana has over 20 years of experience in the field of strategy, monitoring, evaluation, research, and program management in the private and NGO sectors. Currently she serves as Chief of Staff at the Trust for Social Achievement (TSA) where she is responsible for the strategic development and the operational health of the organization. Before taking this leadership role, Doriana established the Impact Evaluation unit and built a strong culture of data-driven decision-making at TSA. Prior to joining the foundation, Doriana was a part of the marketing team at Kraft Foods, where she managed the business unit’s marketing research activities and won the first ever regional SEEMA award for Bulgaria for significant contributions to the implementation of insights into strategy development. She was a Strategy and Analysis Consultant for the Investment Climate Advisory Services division of the World Bank and a Senior Program Manager at Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance, where she identified sectors with economic growth potential and developed strategies for sectoral support funded by USAID.
Doriana has an MBA from Georgetown McDonough School of Business and Bachelor of Arts from the University of the South, where she was a recipient of a full scholarship and graduated with honors. Doriana was a Habitat for Humanity volunteer in Jamaica, Net Impact Service Corps Consultant for FINCA International, and served on the board of Georgetown Women’s Leadership Initiative.
